Introduction

This section provides a getting started guide to the Arduino IDE and a self-paced tutorial structure for students who are new to C or Arduino programming. It contains two documents:

1. Supplementary Signposting Document to Accompany the introductory Exercises document: A reference guide for students seeking additional support with C or Arduino programming. This document provides direct links to external learning resources and relevant sections of the Arduino Language Reference mapped directly to concepts covered in the introductory exercises.
2. The "Getting Started" Introductory Exercises A formative, non-assessed "Getting Started" guide for students with little or no prior Arduino experience. It guides you through installing and configuring the Arduino IDE and introduces basic digital and analog I/O programming.

Providing comprehensive C programming instruction is beyond the scope of this module and the allocated teaching contact hours. Since numerous high-quality online learning resources already exist, the Supplementary Signposting document points you toward key resources covering essential C concepts needed for these laboratory activities.
